STAFF RECOGNITION SPOTLIGHT: Alycia Alycia has been with Gateways over 8 years now, mostly working at the Learning & Leisure Center and Artists' Exchange. In her current position as Shift Coordinator at the L&L, she has shown herself to be very conscientious, with a great work ethic. Since many often "pop in" to the day program, a number of supervisors were complimentary of her ability to keep participants engaged in productive activities, especially the arts. Alycia has always been a model for integration, utilizing teachable moments and assistive communication. Kara C added that Alycia is a wonderful person whom she is very happy to know. Everyone notes how she makes clients her priority in the midst of each busy day, with a smile and no complaints. She has recently begun Culture Days during which people learn about a particular culture through art, food, music, and readings. Below are some pictures from last week's Czech Republic Day. Thanks for all you have added to our day programming!
